As a lover of albums, one off tracks and singles sometimes pass me by, it would be remiss of me though not to highlight the plethora of quality stand-alone tracks, singles, or album teasers that have been waved temptingly in front of me over the past weeks and months.

Prop Drop is a more than worthy follow up to last year’s addictive hook laden Circles Roaming single.

The bands grungey alt-rock style is represented perfectly on the new single and accompanying video which will appeal to fans of Biffy Clyro, Foo Fighters and Therapy?. Kicking off with staccato drums and guitar, before assaulting the eardrums with full on riffing, the song develops, and rises and falls throughout. Bursts of full on energy assault your senses,

I’ve had a new single by The Super Pumas on heavy rotation in the last few days. You know when you hear a song and it just catches your imagination? So much so that you play it on repeat and you don’t tire of it. Anyone reading this who is a generation or two younger than me may not understand the next bit, but I remember filling one side of a C60 mixtape with The Tourist’s version of the Dusty Springfield classic I Only Want to Be With You a song I was obsessed with at the time.
