Hot on the heels of their double whammy of August singles in the form of the suitably unhinged Mad Men and high octane rush of Do What I Want the riotous garage rockers present their tongue in cheek titled EP. I say tongue in cheek as anyone who has been fortunate enough to see Fiendz YT live will know just how utterly rowdy and joyful that experience is, a life affirming opportunity to chuck everything in the fuck it bucket and let yourself go with reckless abandon. The six tracks on this EP are representative of that live experience and have the band revelling in their natural environment, with furious garage punk kicking things off on Vote For Me, “vote for me or you’re fuckin’ brain dead” is the message… or should that be threat as the vocals reach a pinnacle of blood vessel bursting rage as the fuel injected punk goes full-on nitro. Next up is the live version of their 2024 single Smut Pig, the low key growl of the guitars and rumble of bass the perfect foil to the darkly sleazy lyrics. Given it’s title Fast Fast Fast does exactly what it says on the tin, the chorus spat out in machine gun style, the guitar break is as raucous as you’d expect, before the tempo is taken right down before it’s pedal to the metal once more as things reach an insane zenith once again.
A deeply sonorous bass line laced with menace introduces the caustic Businessmen Full of Tar, lyrics spiked with a biting venom, the slow and low pace giving weight to the brutal, scathing nature of the song. Dirty Money brings the pace back up to nose-bleed levels again before the EP closes out with another of their 2024 singles, the band not easing up for one second with the incandescence and full scale assault on the senses so intoxicating they could bring on the Whitey of the songs title. An utter riot from start to finish, and if you like this you really need to seek them out and witness the full live experience in the flesh.
